Logmaster project, co-financed by the European Union
Logmaster is a project co-financed by the European Union that aims to deliver a master's program for the education and training of specialists in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Through Logmaster, the project partners want to deliver a common Level 7-based Master's study framework based on the competencies developed by the European Logistics Association (ELA) in the ELAQF Competence Standards.
In recent decades, logistics has developed into a multi-functional discipline with an ever-increasing requirement for education and professional skills, and training curriculum requirements are changing rapidly. Today, logistics professionals should have functional skills, technical skills, leadership skills, global management experience and even cross-cultural understanding.
The demand for intermediate personnel and managers in the field of logistics, considered to be a job of the future, has grown rapidly in parallel with the development of the sector. This new requirement is accompanied by the expansion of logistics higher education to universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of cooperative education.
Under these conditions, there is a need for a uniform model for the logistics higher education system that provides all aspects (structure, processes and outcomes) of quality improvement from concept to implementation to perform better. This can only be achieved in close collaboration with stakeholders to facilitate the integration of logistics graduates into the labor market in the logistics sector.
